Highly Commended Award for Advergames Paper

emerald-literatiaward“Analyzing advergames: active diversions or actually deception” – a review of advergames, especially those used by children, and the rhetoric versus reality of their claimed effects and effectiveness has won the Highly Commended Award from the Emerald Literati Network. The paper also highlighted that the majority of web sites do not comply with the existing broadcasting codes of practice for mainstream advertising – raising major concerns of what constitutes acceptable online behavior.
