It’s really good to see that Wikis are getting more positive press these days… and much more academic credit than they used to and a little less scepticism from the academic community . In a really interesting move the science journal RNA Biology now requires contributors to post to Wikipedia ( see this article from the THES ) . Hopefully it won’t be the last such initiative - and the idea of shared knowledge creation may finally move to become an acceptable form of academic discourse.
