Peer support via the internet published
The results of the first study into the use of internet as a support medium for people with chronic health conditions has just been published in the Journal of Medical Marketing.
In the study I looked at the kind of support that is sought (and given) by people living with HIV in an internet forum in Germany.
We are now working on a follow-up to this study by looking at how the use of internet influences medication choice – which can be a substantial amount of money , though of course not all of the cost is down to medication.
